This is a collection of coffees offered in collaboration with Onyx Coffee, importers of specialty coffees from Guatemala.
As James Hoffman says in his World Atlas of coffee, the Huehuetenango area "has the highest non-volcanic mountains in Central America and they are well suited for growing coffee" and "there are some truly astonishing coffees produced there".
Jean Nicolas Wintgens in Coffee: Growing, Processing, and Sustainable Production says this about Guatemalan coffees. "In general, Arabica coffees cultivated in Guatemala have a fine flavor - smoky and spicy with high acidity. Their 'SHB' coffees are among the best in the world - complete, medium bodied with a high acidity and fragrant cup".
